Upward is a faith based program where "Every Child is a Winner." Using either a basketball or cheerleading pom, Upward has built a system that focuses on learning and having fun, not win-at-all-costs competition.

Upward promotes character and self esteem in every child by providing:

• equal playing time
  
• a one hour practice and game each week
  
• an evaluation process to provide equal opportunity for improvement
  
  

Every player will receive:

• a reversible jersey

• car magnet
  
• individual awards after each game

Every cheerleader will receive:

• Cheerleading top and skort
  
• two cheer poms and megaphone
  
• face decals

• individual awards after each game

Awards Night Celebration

The season will close with a special event held in the sanctuary of CUMC. Previous entertainers have been magician Toby Travis and Kidz Blitz. Afterward, each child will receive their end of the year award at no additional cost.
