CUMC member Rick Wiedman, has a fourth-degree black belt in karate. He leads a class that is both authentic and good-natured, emphasizing basics, forms, and self-defense, with no competitive sparring.

After the first 8 week session, the only equipment required is a plain white karate-gi (uniform). You can purchase a karate-gi from the instructor at cost or from the retailer of your choice.

Registration is $30.00 per 8 week session. There is no contract to sign. The class is designed for adults; students under 18 may join, but should visit the class and talk to the teacher first to make sure it's a good fit. The class is limited to 12 students, so sign up now.
