Policy Changes Regarding CLC Membership

Effective January 1, 2007, all current and future CLC members who are non- members of Christ United Methodist Church must attend six Sunday School and/or worship events within a six month period to maintain their CLC membership. Non-CUMC members will now be referred to as Guest Members.
All Non- members of CUMC may become Guest Members of the CLC with the following provisions:
- In the first six months of their membership, they must attend six Sunday school or worship events. This length of time will be called the "validation period."
- Once a Guest Member has fulfilled the 6 in 6 rule, they must attend 12 Sunday school or worship events within the 12 months following the end of their six month validation period in order to keep their memberships at the CLC. This 12 month cycle will continue annually.
- The validation period need only be satisfied once.
- If a current or new Guest Member does not meet the 6 in 6 or 12 in 12 rule, he/she may opt to purchase a Program Membership(see below).
- Those not meeting the 6 in 6 or 12 in 12 rule will lose their Covenant membership to the CLC and must purchase a membership to continue usage.
- If all criteria is met, the life-time fee for a Guest Membership is $5.00 with a maximum of $20.00 per immediate household family.
Participation
Participation in day-to-day recreation events, including the weight room, track, basketball court, and game tables requires a CLC membership. Participation in any recreation program is open to the community at large.
Participants
Membership is open to children and adults.
All children must have started the 6th grade to be eligible. Children fifth grade and below must be accompanied by an adult (18 and older) when in the facility and remain the visual supervision of that adult.
Participants’ records will be updated annually.

All CLC members will receive a membership card specially designed for their assigned category.
Covenant Membership
All members and employees of Christ United Methodist Church along with House on the Corner and Project Hope families are eligible for Covenant Membership at the CLC.
The lifetime fee for a Covenant member is $5.00 per person with a maximum of $20.00 per immediate household family. There is a $5.00 fee for the replacement of a lost card.
- Families enrolled in Project Hope are eligible to receive a Visitor Pass after actively participating in the Project Hope program for three months.
- If, at any time, they drop out of the Project Hope program, the family will lose their Visitor Pass and the rights to a Covenant Membership. If they re-enroll in Project Hope, the 3 month preliminary period is reset.
- Once they graduate from the program, the family is eligible to receive a Covenant Membership.
- Families selected to receive the House on the Corner will be granted a Covenant membership.

Program Membership
Anyone who is currently involved in any CUMC program and is not a member of CUMC may become a Program Member of the CLC. Program Membership fees are $50 per year for a single membership or $150.00 per year for an immediate household family membership. Program Memberships may be purchased at any time but are subject to availability as deemed by the CLC Council. There are no restrictions on church or Sunday school attendance for a Program Membership. Currently, there no restrictions exist on the number of Program Memberships available.
Guests
1. Covenant cardholders are urged to bring guests.
2. Any covenant cardholder may bring up to two guests on each visit.
3. Guests are asked to fill out guest cards, wear visitor passes, and return the passes when they leave.
4. Covenant cardholders are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
5. Covenant cardholders must remain in the facility the entire time their guests are there.
